All about C-Line range
The Bavaria shipyard, founded by a carpenter in 1978 in Giebelstadt, Germany, is home to a new Bavaria C-Line range of sailing yachts who have found their place alongside the brand's famous and very popular Cruisers. Bavaria's "Cruiser" range is intended for sports cruising. The C-Line range however is aimed at monohull customers looking for more comfort.
Far be it from us to imply that the C-Line hasn't progressed, but its overall design remains focused on comfort and style.
It's a modern style, due to the Italian naval architecture firm Cossutti yacht design, with large hull windows, a long roof window on a roof that is very low to the deck and a host of details making stays on board as comfortable as possible.
The front roofs are deliberately flat and can be fitted with optional cushions that turn them into sunbeds; an option available on all models. The Bavaria C-Line 45 and all its big brothers can be equipped with an optional outdoor galley with a plancha grill and running water.
The successful C-Line 45, C-Line 50 and C-Line 57 models have an island bed in the forward cabin. This latest Bavaria Yachts C-Line 50 also has a tender garage, which is very practical if you want to avoid unsightly davits and cluttering up such a beautifully designed deck.
The C-Line 57, despite a length of 57', has tracked lines that are controlled electronically and lead straight back into the helm (optional thrusters), so this 17 m yacht can be helmed on your own!
But don't think for one moment that the C-Line is like the marine version of a caravan! No, it has powerful hulls, straight bows, chines, wide sterns, and it likes sailing downwind! Rigged as standard with a furling mainsail and a self-tacking solent, to make the most of its seaworthy qualities, why not add a Code-Zero?
C-Line: find your future boats
The range of boats centralizes models with similar characteristics, both in their design and in their use. A boat builder can have a range dedicated to racing-cruising yachts and another specializing in small outboard motor boats. The ranges of boats may need to evolve to better meet the expectations of boaters. Thus, certain ranges are disappearing to make way for new generations of boats.
Choosing your boat model from the range
Buying a new or used boat requires taking stock of your expectations as a future boat owner Here are the main questions to ask:
- What is my maximum budget for buying a boat?
- Do I have a berth available?
- What is my boater profile?
