All about Vision range
At Bavaria, the German shipyard, the world's third largest builder of pleasure craft, all of them made to German standards, you can always tell the yachts apart. There are 3 ranges; the Bavaria Cruiser for sportspeople, the Bavaria C-Line for those who love their creature comforts and the Bavaria Vision for owners who like a lot of light and space.
The Vision is an owner's yacht with a deck saloon. In this type of sailboat, once you're seated inside the saloon, you can see the sea from everywhere, even in a sitting position. This has been made possible by raising the floor and introducing a larger roof volume. These architectural choices lead to increased dunnage and slight overweight which makes them unsuitable for racing.
The table in the saloon can be removed and the space transformed into a large, welcoming sofa with a panoramic sea view (a really nice feature) and you can see the sea from everywhere, whether you're lying down, standing up or sitting down.
The interior layout has been designed to cater to a single couple or a couple with children. The Bavaria 42 Vision includes two wonderful cabins for a length of 12.50 m, and the Bavaria 46 Vision has 3 for 14 m!
It is rigged to the usual German preferences for a furling mainsail giving you an infinite number of adjustments but without the performance of a battened mainsail and a self-tacking solent on a furler. Combined with a double-braid mainsail hoist, the helmsman has all the lines underhand and can thus keep a sheet on each (optionally motorised) rear winch and thus handle the stunning Bavaria Vision on their own!
Vision: find your future boats
The range of boats centralizes models with similar characteristics, both in their design and in their use. A boat builder can have a range dedicated to racing-cruising yachts and another specializing in small outboard motor boats. The ranges of boats may need to evolve to better meet the expectations of boaters. Thus, certain ranges are disappearing to make way for new generations of boats.
Choosing your boat model from the range
Buying a new or used boat requires taking stock of your expectations as a future boat owner Here are the main questions to ask:
- What is my maximum budget for buying a boat?
- Do I have a berth available?
- What is my boater profile?
