All about Commando range

Commando, master of the seas!
With the exception of tenders, manufacturers tend to produce very few purely inflatable boats above a certain size, i.e. boats that can be folded up and transported in a compact format or stowed away in the boot of a car or in a sailboat. Knowing that most boaters leave their boats inflated and have a trailer, manufacturers have turned their focus towards semi-rigid boats. The hull of the latter offers better performance while being less susceptible to chafing.

However, there are many occasions where a fully-foldable boat is required, and this is what Bombard offers with its Typhoon and Commando ranges. While the Typhoon line is dedicated to pleasure boating and occasional use, boats in the Commando line are geared up for all missions thrown at them. This is further enhanced by the colour schemes available in black or red!

The Commando range features 3 models, the C3, C4 and C5, coming in at 3.80m, 4.30m and 4.70m long respectively. Their design is simple and equipment minimal, making them lightweight and compact when it's time to pack them away.

All are equipped with an aluminium keel in three articulated components, which can be assembled without tools. The floor is also made of aluminium and has a rail for securing equipment and kit. Finally, the inflatable part is made of Strongan Duotex, a particularly resistant fabric well-protected by a wide and profiled anti-chafing strip.

Commando: find your future boats

The range of boats centralizes models with similar characteristics, both in their design and in their use. A boat builder can have a range dedicated to racing-cruising yachts and another specializing in small outboard motor boats. The ranges of boats may need to evolve to better meet the expectations of boaters. Thus, certain ranges are disappearing to make way for new generations of boats.
