All about Camper And Nicholson brand
Camper and Nicholson is probably one of the longest-running shipyards in the world. Based in Portsmouth, United Kingdom, this manufacturer was producing small merchant vessels way back in 1782. Over the years, the Camper family joined forces with Ben Nicholson: a successful partnership that guided them towards the manufacture of sailing schooners designed for regattas.
This is the history of a family in which sea enthusiasts bounced back by seizing opportunities over the decades, selling their own models of sailboats and motorboats up until the 1980s.
Driven by a tireless quest for excellence, the shipyard produced exceptional boats used for pleasure, regatta and commercial purposes - and not forgetting speedboats made for the British Royal Navy - for almost two centuries.
Every Camper and Nicholson boat offers outstanding seafaring performance. Ranging from 32 feet to over 45 feet, they feature everything needed for comfortable cruising.
The Nicholson 35 is still considered a well-balanced sailboat, perfectly equipped for long-distance sailing. Forty years on, its timeless interior design still hits the mark.
Camper and Nicholson no longer has an active shipyard; today they offer a wide range of services to meet the needs of pleasure boaters, from boat hire and project management to training and crewing - while their now-legendary sailboats continue to sail around the world.
