Capelli's Tempest 800 has many advantages!
When it came out in 2014, this family RIB really excited the trade press. However, it couldn't lay claim to any innovative equipment or an original design. Nevertheless, the testers praised it as a well-built boat that had all the right ideas and amenities for a boat of this class.
You have to admit that with its welcoming and well-organised deck and the fact that it is so safe and pleasant to helm, it has a lot going for it whether it's static or in motion.The design is classic with the floats assembled lengthwise and without any variation in diameter that would lighten the bow's profile.
The layout is comfortable and you don't feel cramped: the sun decks' total surface area equates to 6 square metres, while a good twelve or people can sit on the U-shaped bench at the back.
The console is large and easily accommodates both the helmsperson and co-pilot. It features a chemical or marine toilet (optional) with a black water tank.You can also set up two picnic rings by converting the sun decks, or even equip the outdoor galley with a plancha grill and a refrigerator.
Despite this equipment, it is still easy to move around on board, especially as the individual equipment can easily be stored in the generous lockers at the stern, under the galley unit or in the shelter of the console. When sailing, the Tempest 800 is dynamic and it takes only a few seconds and almost no pitching to glide over the water.
