All about Chaparral brand

The American shipyard Chaparral was founded in Florida in 1965. What other state in the U.S. offers such a great climate and such an amazing space for boating? With the keys, islets, and its proximity to the Bahamas and Cuba, Florida is a sailing paradise. 1960s USA saw a massive economic boom. The middle class saw their income grow as well as their free time and new leisure activities developed rapidly, and boating among them, which meant lots of shipyards made a small fortune at that time.

Chaparral has been distributed in France since the mid-2000s. Its offers a wide range of open boats dedicated to water skiing, surfing or cruising, with sterndrive and outboard engines that enabvle you to generate the regular waves that are so dear to surfers! Made of fibreglass and sterndrives powered by Mercruiser or Volvo engine blocks and outboards powered by Mercury engines, the Chaparral is abundantly equipped as standard, as is often the case for these American boats. Options can even include a trailer!

Lengths start at 20' and end at 35' on the cabin cruisers. These models are mainly distributed in France and known as SSX or Signature. Thus the Chaparral 350 Signature, 2x320 HP Mercruiser diesel, has two cabs including a real master cabin and a covered saloon, or, the Chaparral 290 Signature and its front and mid cabins and its 2x160 HP diesel engine.
