Based in Wisconsin, USA, the Thompson brothers were already building motorboats back in 1904. The second generation of the family began designing sleek, wooden motor cruisers from the 1950s onwards. Bought out in the 1970s as fibreglass marked the decline of wooden frames, the family business began its conversion to new technologies under the name of Cruisers Yachts.
Launched in 2011, their Cantius range opened up a new chapter in American leisure boating, offering high-performance motorboats specifically developed for comfortable cruising. The Cantius 48 has become the brand's best-selling boat. This 14.8m luxury yacht offers all the comfort and space you would expect to find in a holiday home; one with 360º sea views.
With several decades of experience under its belt, Cruisers Yachts has become a powerful player in the United States boating industry, offering three ranges to choose from:
- Fly: motorboats with flybridge, for increased on-board living space;
- Cantius: the brand's flagship range, comprising safe and super-equipped motor cruisers;
- GLS: speedboats that reflect the warm and friendly spirit of the Cantius in a model geared towards the great outdoors.
Building on its success and over a century of shipbuilding experience, Cruisers Yachts entered the big league in 2015, launching a 60-foot-long yacht complete with fly: the Fly 60.
