All about Elan Power range
It is very rare that a traditional shipyard is content to produce only one type of boat! Elan, the Slovenian manufacturer, started building wooden canoes and kayaks in 1949. Elan Yachts has become a major player in the yachting market with its world-renowned range of sailing yachts, but it has built motor boats as well. They belong to a range known as Elan Power.
Developed in the mid-2000s, the Elan Power range owes much to the experience of Tony Castro. This particularly prolific English architect and designer specialises in prestigious creations. Among other achievements, he is the designer of numerous mega yachts. Elan Power brought Elan's sailing experience to the world of motorboating.
The first model in the range, the 35 Elan Power, was presented to the trade press in 2005. The reception was excellent and the first articles were very complimentary. All of them emphasised the feeling of space you feel inside this boat, which nevertheless remained sporty. In fact, the interior design with all its quality materials, gives off an excellent impression.
The 35' was closely followed by the 42', then by a 48'. Subsequently the Elan Power 30 appeared in 2013. This model has been praised for the feeling of space aboard a boat of under 10 metres that is capable of reaching speeds of 33 knots. While the interior of this boat is quite classic, the cockpit bench seat, well sheltered by the wheelhouse extending over it, is an example of how to do things properly. It's just as cosy as it is attractive!
