Excess: cosy and swift catamarans!
The Excess brand is an offshoot of the CNB shipyard (Construction Navale Bordeaux), itself a subsidiary of the Bénéteau Group. Keen to respond to the desires and needs of a new generation of sailors, its focus is on design, good looks, youthfulness and connectivity with new ways of experiencing the sea.
A sporty vision seeking to part with the rules of classic sailing.
The Excess range is aimed at new sailors looking for a modern, lively, good-looking boats in tune with their lifestyle. Excess' Catamarans have been designed with thrill-seekers in mind; board sports and pure pleasure! The twin aft helm stations are a fine example of the combined search for smooth sailing and pleasure.
The cockpits on each model have a huge sunroof to protect you from the sun and enjoy the stars! In this same spirit, you'll find large glass surfaces that bathe the interior with light. Rigging is equally important and enables high-level performance, especially in the Pulse Line option, which offers 10% more power-to-weight ratio.
The range extends from 11.33m to 14.76m in the Excess 11, Excess 12 and Excess 15. The first, Excess 11, is one of the smallest mass-produced cruising catamarans and it must be said, this one is packed with enticing features! While this kind of marketing approach is still relatively new to us, it is based on undeniable strong boat know-how!
