All about Hatteras brand
Pamlico Sound in North Carolina is protected from the ocean by a string of barrier islands: the Outer Banks. These shallows are so exposed to the angry Atlantic that they've been dubbed the 'Graveyard of the Atlantic'. However, their wild beauty is such that many American films, with or without a nautical theme, have been shot there.
Hatteras: ready to face tough seas! The seas surrounding Hatteras Island and the cape formed by its southern tip are reputed to be unnavigable and are so much a part of local legend that Willy Slane naturally chose to name his boats after them. The first one was created more than 60 years ago. This 12.5m (41ft) polyester yacht was followed by a whole generation of motor yachts and fishing boats, universally renowned for their marine qualities and their ability to cope with difficult conditions at sea.
The Sportfish range includes boats designed for big-game fishing! Ranging from 13.7 to 31.3m (45–70ft), comfortable and meticulously built, these legendary boats are the quintessence of American-style sport-fishing boats!
In addition to these now-traditional boats, Hatteras produces Motor yachts, and even superyachts, in sizes up to 32m (105ft). These boats are obviously luxurious, without being flashy, and of course, benefit from Hatteras's expertise in matters of safety and seaworthiness.
