All about Itama brand

In 1969, Mario Amati, a young Italian designer, drafted the boat of his dreams. He wanted it to be high-performance and modern, but also to retain close links to the timeless designs of the past. He wanted to see his drawing take shape and touch the water – to expose his ideas to the waves of the Mediterranean! To make his dream a reality, he founded his own boatyard, which he named Itama, an inversion of his surname and the nickname his friends called him by.

Itama: a line that stands the test of time! For decades, Itama boats have been driven by the passion of their owners. Their V-shaped, mostly midnight-blue hulls have become legendary, and their appealing lines never date. Itama is now part of the Ferretti group, which includes such prestigious names as Wally, Riva, Pershing, Mochi Craft, CRN and Custom Line. The new Itama range of boats are built in Mondolfo, on Italy's Adriatic coast.

In these very modern yards, Pershing boats are created and customised. One such won the motorboat Awards 2021 in the Custom Yacht category. Proof of the company's expertise – if proof were needed! Itama boats are elegantly luxurious without being flashy. The interior design is understated, in keeping with the sleek lines of Itama's early boats. Sizes range from 13.7m (45ft) to 22.9m (75ft) and sellers claim that they're villas on the water. Very high-performance villas!

How to go about purchasing your new boat

  • The total budget for the purchase and maintenance of the boat
  • The type of sailing and type of waters: coastal, open seas, mixed?
  • Preferred uses: Fishing? Coastal sailing? River cruising? Watersports?
