All about Sun Odyssey 45.1 model
When it was launched in 1996, the Sun Odyssey 45.1 line made a strong impression. Slender, low on the water, with a wide skirt and a strong bow, it's a powerful monohull.
Still sought after on the second-hand market, the Jeanneaus from this period feature first-rate quality workmanship.
This is particularly visible in the interior with its gorgeous, quality woodwork (teak), using solid wood everywhere.
On the hull side, the ribs, reinforcements and bulkheads are generously dimensioned, the composite has a kevlar web inside, and the rigging anchoring points are solidly attached. It goes without saying that the construction quality on these boats explains in part the immense success of Jeanneau in the rental fleets of the 1990s and 2000s.
Two types of interior layout were available from the shipyard: an owner layout (double-bed master cabin against a wall and two aft cabins as well as 2 shower rooms) or a charter layout with 4 cabins and 3 shower rooms.
The large galley, on the port side after the companionway, and its pleasant circular saloon can accommodate 8 people at the table, in the dry. A proper chart table enables you to unfold and use paper charts for a good overview of the area you're sailing through.
Draughtwise, there are two versions: GTE (2.0 m) and PTE (1.69 m).
