All about Linssen brand
Linssen builds steel riverboats with a traditional Dutch design. Established 70 years ago in Maasbracht, on the banks of the Meuse, this family business has evolved with the times without losing itself. The company sells boats that are built to last, with an exceptional finish, and they are also packed with features that make life easier. They primarily make river boats that have seaworthy qualities as well, being perfectly at ease in estuaries, gulfs, harbours and other inland seas, as well as performing well on shipping links.
From 9.70 m to 15.50 m in length, Linssen boats are famous for a certain style of nautical good breeding with their timeless silhouettes, ACs (aft cabins), or sedan style for launches with a large aft cockpit that is comfortable as well as providing good shelter. One of the other features they are known for, but perhaps less obviously, is their Variotop – a power sunroof that opens wide over the saloon and is available on a good portion of the range.
Linssen, "Luxury that works!" This is the title of an essay that appeared in the trade press, and which is not unmerited! The quality of construction is amazing. To cite just one example: the floors have a layer of insulation sandwiched between 2 layers of wood so that the engine is extremely quiet when in use.
Linssen boats are proper houseboats. They are well insulated, well heated and enable you to sail longer routes on Europe's waterways or to live in comfort on board all year round. The excellent reputation of these boats has never been usurped and it is common for Linssen boats to pass from one owner to another, especially as many used Linssens are completely rehauled by the shipyard before being offered for sale.
