All about Mochi Craft brand
A few years after its birth in 1960 in Pesaro, the Mochi Craft shipyard was the very first in Italy to install powerful diesel engines inside its boats. Its owner at the time, Luigi Zamparelli, had long-standing experience of these engines acquired at Fiat Iveco which he intended to transfer to the world of shipbuilding. The Mochi range includes a range of Cabin-Cruisers, with comfortable lines, but also pleasing Express cruisers like the Mochi 47 or the Mochi 42 Dominator, with an inimitable offshore Racer look.
In 2001, the Mochi shipyard came under the control of the sprawling Ferretti group, which is now owned by a Chinese holding company. Since then, it has designed and distributed a range of motor yachts that is quite unique to the market. The Mochi Dolphin is the result of the union between the timeless lines of the Maine Lobster Boat with the timeless elegance, exemplary finish and the exotic materials dear to the Italians. The range includes five models of Mochi Dolphin, ranging from 44 to 74 feet, which are available in coupé or fly bridge versions, and all of them remain faithful to the twin diesel engines. These boats, clearly positioned on the luxury market, stand out a mile!
Neo-retro, but with slender lines and hull colours that can range as far as pastel, they are rivalled only by a few Dutch productions with a more limited distribution. In 2008, Mochi also launched the Mochi Long Range 23, the first hybrid trawler, equipped with electric motors driven by two generators with a total power of 30 kilowatts. They are now manufactured at Ferretti.
