All about Pershing brand
Cantiere Navale dell'Adriatico was first founded in 1981 and was originally based in a region of Italy's Adriatic coast lying between the cities of Ancona and Pesaro. The company's close ties with superyacht designer Fulvio de Simoni led it to target itself towards the very top end of the market. Fulvio de Simoni is the man behind the famous Pershing 45 (14 m, 1300 HP), a ravishingly attractive dayboat, especially when adorned in its orange Austin Powers livery. It's this boat that the boat builder Pershing gets its name from.
"Pershings" are designed to be very fast boats that sail and handle like a fighter-bomber or a racing car and offer the highest levels of luxury and customisation. Under the leadership of its chief architect, the company produced an ever-changing series of elegant and increasingly impressive and imposing motorboats.
In 1998, Pershing joined the Ferretti Group, an Italian nautical conglomerate specialising in designing and building luxury boats of all sizes for the yachting and pleasure-sailing markets.
Pershings come in thirty different models ranging in length from 11 to 35 metres. All the boats in the range are very high-performance and finished to superyacht style standards, with rare and expensive materials used side by side with technology (gyro stabilizers, high-powered propulsion systems) and comfortable equipment and fittings.
The current flagship of the range, the De Simoni designed Pershing 115, features twin MTU engines producing 7400 HP each, giving a top speed of 38 knots. An aviation turbine can also be added to the system, taking this 185 ton vessel beyond the 50-knot mark!
