All about Tiara brand
After a lengthy apprenticeship with the American Chris-Craft shipyard, Leon Slikkers founded his first shipyard in 1954 in a garage located at the foot of his apartment in Holland, Michigan... There he built two-seater runabouts, made of varnished wood, for use on this large lake. Afterwards he sold his first shipyard, Slikkers Fonda S2, in 1974, which initially produced a few polyester yachts. Slikkers was then bound by a non-competition agreement! The expiry of this agreement led to the creation of the shipyard's engine division, Tiara, which would soon be the focus for all the Slikkers' activity.
What is a Tiara yacht? A clever blend of engineering, elegant design, and exemplary craftsmanship, a Tiara is not just another motor yacht... Their development always involves the creation of a prototype on a 1 to 1 scale, which means everything is assembled perfectly and avoids the use of unsightly flexible seals or visible fittings... The Tiara shipyard produces a range of medium-sized motor yachts clearly positionedat the top end of the luxury market.
Tiara was focused in the past on a range of Express Cruisers and Sport Fishing boats, such as the Tiara 3600, considered to be the best of its kind ever produced at the time. The yard has recently expanded its range to include Open models, very elegant coupés and the inevitable flybridge cruisers. All these boats are equipped with Sterndrive engines. A sport fishing outboard range, the "LS", is now included in the catalogue and includes boats ranging between 34 and 48' in length alongside another line of coupés, the "LX" series, also with outboard engines.
