All about Trader brand
The Trader shipyard is known in Great Britain for its Trawlers with a vintage look yet clearly seaworthy qualities. All the productions of the Trader shipyard are certified as CE category A, oceanic, and can be used for deep-sea crossings. Ranging in length from 40 to 60 feet, Trader boats are among the most serious Trawlers on the market. The Tarquin Trader is built in Taiwan and mainland China, with suppliers who have demonstrated their reliability.
The Taiwanese Ta-Shing yard is an excellent example. This quality Asian shipyard has over 60 years of experience in the construction of fishing boats, but has also been known since the end of the 70's, as a subcontractor manufacturing sailing boats known for their sturdiness, whose value on the market always stays notably constant. Like Trader, many other shipyards have chosen this business model. The Americans in Nordhavn have their large luxury motor yachts built by Ta-shing as a subcontractor.
The current Trader range consists of eight models ranging in length from 43 to 58 feet. The flagship Trader 58 is a remarkable interpretation of the trawler concept. These Trawlers, capable of an average speed of 15 knots, thanks to their powerful but reasonable engines (about 1000 HP), have a lot of autonomy. These boats are very comfortable, and equipped as standard with a gyrostabiliser, bow and stern thrusters. They're built in a semi-custom mode that allows for great freedom of design. It is not uncommon for some Traders to have granite or marble worktops, while others feature exotic woods and thick carpets.
