The origins of Wellcraft's American shipyards date back to 1955 in Florida. Historically a manufacturer of wooden motorboats, the famous runabouts, a family which includes Italian Riva boats, Wellcraft is now an undisputed specialist in open boats for sport fishing. Bought by the Bénéteau group, the Wellcraft range now includes 12 boats ranging between 18 and 35 feet in length. Fitted with outboard motors, these are Open boats with a central console built on two different types of hulls. These aptly named fisherman are designed for exclusive sport fishing. Bays are of a more typical style and designed for a more family-oriented range of activities, and are basically more sensible. They are equipped with all the American equipment deemed necessary for sea fishing, with an XXL livewell of 200 L, a solid TTop, a rod holder and very powerful engines.

In Florida, no one looks down on a motorised open boat, like the Wellcraft 352, with 3 or 4 350 horsepower engines... Wellcraft has always taken fishing very seriously, running a fishing school and workshops at the Wellcraft Saltwater Fishing School to help beginners master the pretty OP capabilities of their latest productions.
