All about Jouet range

First launched by boatbuilders Yachting France in 1976 with the Jouet 24, the monohulls of the Jouet range are designed for coastal cruises with family or friends. The range is made up of boats between six and eleven metres in length. Offering high levels of safety and comfort, the Jouets are excellent and highly capable boats for those new to the world of sailing.

The Jouet 24 is particularly suitable for family use. A small sailing boat seven metres long, it offers good levels of stability and safety at sea and a deep cockpit suitable for children. With its attractive and enjoyably steerable hull, it can also be used to take part in local regattas. Though initially built by Aquasud in 1976, Yachting France began distributing this model from 1977 onwards. A defining feature of the Jouet range is the tiller each of the boats comes equipped with.

Discover the Jouet 920, the flagship sailing boat in the range: a nine-metre monohull ideal for port-to-port sailing with a crew of five.

Jouet: the range for young sailors

The range of boats centralizes models with similar characteristics, both in their design and in their use. A boat builder can have a range dedicated to racing-cruising yachts and another specializing in small outboard motor boats. The ranges of boats may need to evolve to better meet the expectations of boaters. Thus, certain ranges are disappearing to make way for new generations of boats.

Choosing your boat model from the range

Buying a new or used boat requires taking stock of your expectations as a future boat owner Here are the main questions to ask:

  • What is my maximum budget for buying a boat?
  • Do I have a berth available?
  • What is my boater profile?
