All about Pro Open range

Zodiac offers 2 core ranges. A "Pro" line, which includes reinforced models adapted to the requirements of rescue, surveillance and diving professions. And an "Open" line, which combines boats that are geared up for leisure activities, in terms of their looks and the materials they are made from, as well as the equipment on board.

Additionally, Zodiac boats are available on the second-hand market under the name "Pro Open". These are special lines, positioned between the professional and amateur fields, and which boast the best of both worlds. For example, "Raid Limited Edition" lines are semi-rigid boats commissioned by the organisers of major offshore races for the needs of the race, but are also often offered as part of a limited series. For example, you can find Zodiac Pro Open boats with "Vendée Globe" and "Route du Rhum" branding. These boats carry the event's colours and are also fitted with special equipment.

Each of these lines benefits from specific assessment. The decoration and upholstery are of primary concern, but the equipment is not far behind; the Pro Open 550 "Route du Rhum, la Banque Postale 2010" model has orange anti-chafing strips on black protective fabric. It has a real anchor locker, as well as a remote console making it easier to move around on board. The controls are off-centre so that the driver's weight remains centred.
