Why was my boat ad rejected/moderated?

So you have placed an ad to sell your new or used boat but you have received a rejection email from our moderation team? Your ad may have been rejected for various reasons.

  1. Your ad is not compliant: The moderation team feels that your ad does not meet the criteria required for it to be posted. Your ad may also have been rejected if there is a duplicate ad. You are only allowed to have one active ad per boat so that we can avoid any confusion for future buyers.

You have placed an ad for boat engines, fittings or a berth. We'd like to remind you that Band of Boats is a site for posting boat ads.
  2. The photos in your ad are not compliant : Your ad must always show an exterior view of your boat in the main photo. The pictures must be of sufficient quality and must relate to the ad. We don't accept photos of user manuals, or ad previews in PDF format.
  3. Your boat model was not recognised: Our moderation team did not recognise your boat model. While this is rare, feel free to give us all the information you have about the manufacturer, the shipyard, the year of construction, etc.
  4. There is a typing error in your ad: The selling price for your boat doesn't seem right to us.
