Description
Economical and simple to drive, it has been defined as "the small car of the sea". Cozy interiors.
The Cbs 888 is one of the boats that contributed to the diffusion of the so-called "popular boating" at the end of the 70s. Built by the Cbs shipyard in Fiumicino (Rome), she was designed by Aldo Renai taking into account the cruising needs of a small family unit and a favorable quality/price ratio. With pleasing lines and a good level of finish, it is simple to sail, has the rig at the masthead, the rigging led back to the cockpit and a low deckhouse with windows that connects well with the deck. At sea, the 888 has good pace, keeps upwind well and is sensitive to the rudder; however, it tends to lean a little especially when the cockpit is “crowded”. The interiors are rational, offering five berths, a removable chart table (impractical), kitchenette and toilet room.
