The Friendship 28 is a classic sailing yacht with a charming appearance and robust construction, built in 1978 by Jachtbouw Meijer of Balk. Designed by Dick Koopmans, this boat is known for its excellent sailing characteristics and comfortable accommodations.

With a length of 8.7 meters and a draft of 1.25 meters, the Friendship 28 offers a good balance between maneuverability and stability, making it suitable for both coastal sailing and long distance cruising. The hull shape is round bilge and the rudder is single, with steering via a tiller on the outside of the boat.

Accommodation on board is cozy and practical, with a dining area, berths for up to 8 people (including 3 permanent and 5 extra berths), and a kitchenette with a refrigerator tray equipped with an electric cooling element. Although there is no hot water or heating, the boat provides all the basic amenities for a comfortable stay on board.

The Friendship 28 is powered by a reliable Lombardini diesel LDW502 engine with an output of 10 hp, which provides a maximum speed of about 12 km/h.

For navigation and safety, the boat is equipped with a full range of electronics, including a compass, chartplotter, VHF radio, autopilot and GPS. Safety features such as life jackets, a fire extinguisher and a self-draining cockpit provide peace of mind while sailing.

The Friendship 28 is being sold as is, with known defects to the woodwork both inside and out. However, recent upgrades to the mast, rigging and sails, along with proper maintenance of the engine and electronics, make this boat an attractive option for sailors looking for a solid and sailing experience.
