All about Tornado brand
Apparently the word Tornado resonates particularly well with the boating sector! 2 motorboat brands have built a reputation that follows them around the world.
Tornado Yacht
The first, Italy's Tornado, is a shipyard that was created in 1968 to create an Italian version of the Cigarette and other offshore Racing Boats manufacturers. The sporting tradition and the level of engineering developed by the Tornado shipyard enabled it to launch a range of Open boats over the years that are very sporty, but also elegant and luxurious, fitting in perfectly with the world of racing and Italian craftsmanship.
These open boats, where the largest range from 36 and 54 feet, are capable of top speeds.
This includes the Tornado 50 Sport Fisherman from 2010, which, as its name doesn't perhaps suggest, is a 16-metre open sports boat, powered by two 450 horsepower diesel engines and featuring two stunning cabins inside with a light and minimalist design. A 14m RIB has recently joined the Tornado range.
Tornado Boats
The Tornado Boats yard, set up in 1972 in the United Kingdom, was created to build sturdy inflatable boats for oceanographic research operations.
With the evolution of composite construction, the size of the Tornado RIBs increased significantly.
Bought in 2008 by their Danish distributor, the Tornado Boats yard is now back in Denmark. It specialises in the construction of very solid RIBs for the professional world as well. Tornado also has an electric RIB, powered by Torqeedo, which is equipped with a BMW i3 battery for a range of about 2 hours.
