All about Ranieri brand
Ranieri: from passion to success! Young Pietro Ranieri grew up with mechanics and the sea in his bones. So it was no surprise when he set up his own car mechanic business at the end of the 1960s in Calabria. The transition from car mechanics to outboard motors was a swift one. He began building a canoe for himself, then one for a friend, then for a friend of a friend...
Motonautica Fratelli Ranieri soon emerged, manufacturing a range of outboard day boats and weekenders, the majority of which were open plan, although the range also features sport fisher models. Known as "Next", these boats have open hulls to rival the French-built Cap Camarat and other Flyers, as seen on the Rabnieri Next 285 LX, as well as an attractive design as seen on the Ranieri 23 Sea Lady, a sleek bowrider outboard boat.
The Ranieri family wisely invested in a new production tool at the start of the 2000s capable of mass-producing a new creation: semi-rigid boats. Light, powerful, easy to handle and transportable, this new type of boat was an instant success, one that the Ranieri family were able to seize. Enter the iconic Ranieri Cayman boats, of which thousands have rolled off the company's Calabrian production lines. From the Cayman 21 to the "James Bond-esque" Cayman 38 Executive, these attractive, well-finished and well-designed semi-rigid boats enjoy huge success.
Pietro's two sons are sailors and run the shipyard, while he continues to supervise the design of new models to this day. Passion never tires!
