All about Brig 10 Eagle version
The Ukrainian shipyard Brig built three ranges of semi-rigid boats of which the Eagle is the top of the range.
The Brig Eagle 10 is the flagship of this Eagle range.
With a length of 9.90 m and a width of 3.40 m, the Brig Eagle 10 weighs 2,200 kg when empty.
In direct competition with the large RIBs from Italy, the Brig Eagle 10 is not quite 10 m long.
The new tax laws in Italy are no joke, with boats over 10 metres in length being severely taxed.
Powered by two 300 horsepower Suzuki engines, the Brig Eagle 10 is capable of speeds in excess of 50 knots.
Professionally built from fibreglass composite when it comes to the rigid hull and in original Orca Hypalon for the floats, the Brig Eagle 10 is a well finished boat even if the size of some of the fittings such as the cleats, for example, could be a bit bigger.
Its cabin, with a height of 1.58 m, contains a double bed that is 2.0 m long and 1.39 m wide as well as a chemical toilet.
Only the access door to this cabin gives it any light. You will just have to sleep with the door open.
There are no major innovations in the deck layout, with a sunbathing area forward, a bench seat in front of the console, a double helm station, with the leaning post accommodating the summer galley.
At the rear, there is a saloon that can be transformed into a dining area or a stern sunbathing area.
The Brig Eagle 10 can be equipped with two optional 350 HP engines for a total of 700 horsepower.
But is it genuinely reasonable to exceed 50 knots on a boat capable of carrying 20 people?
