With the appearance of more and more powerful outboard engines, a whole ecosystem of RIB manufacturers was born or experienced a significant development in their activities. This new market for RIBs, which were much less expensive to buy and maintain than their traditional counterparts, allowed many more people to access sailing by lowering the average selling price.
BSC Gommoni, founded in 1990 by Roberto Colzani, belongs to the category of Italian shipyards specialising in large gommoni. The founder, a diver, underwater hunter and coastal camper, could give free rein to his imagination and create the boats of his dreams... Their offer, articulated around 6 ranges, (ocean, tender, charter, open, sport, and classic) embraces all the uses for these types of boats.
The BSC Classic is a range of semi-rigids with lengths ranging between 4.80 and 7 m. The BSC Sport has a more aggressive design and comes with black and white socks. The BSC Charter is a slightly simplified and optimised version, ideal for rentals with its multiple seating options. The BSC Tenders are designed as large yacht tenders, with lengths ranging between 4.40 m and 7.70 m. They can sport options such as front canopies, protecting passengers from any spray. A special shout out goes to the BSC Sport 100 GT, 9,60 m, 600 HP, and its two sunbathing areas, offering absolutely similar performances to those of an open boat, with a speed of 50 knots in addition!
