All about Cayman Yachts brand
Yes, experience counts in business! When the General Manager of Mochi Yachts, an Italian shipyard specialising in vintage motor yachts and a subsidiary of Ferretti, a giant in the sector, sets up Cayman Yachts on his own, in partnership with his son, a naval architect, you can expect some pretty successful results...
It is a fact that the skills required to build the magnificent boats we know as motoryachts embrace technological, architectural, technical, logistical, marketing and craft aspects. These are all skills that are difficult to combine without in-depth knowledge of the sector. After relying on a subcontractor to assemble part of its hulls, Cayman eventually merged with this subcontractor, triggering an acceleration of their joint expansion.
Three families of motoryachts form the Cayman Yachts range:
- Hard-top cruisers. Now called "Sport" at Cayman yachts, these elegant and powerful express cruisers, such as the Cayman 40 Hard Top, are characterised by their taut lines, their deep V-shaped hulls and their powerful engines.
- There are flyboats, such as the Cayman 30 Fly, elegant two-cabin expresses, or the majestic Cayman 62. This latest model, the brand's bestseller, has enjoyed a longstanding career since 2006.
- Navettas are large walkaround boats, similar to trawlers, designed to meet the needs of long distance travellers. These ships, designed based on displacement hulls, are not designed to go fast but to go a long way instead. This is a primary trend in the motoryacht market where the concept of exploration has reached all segments!
