All about Galia brand
If you can move mountains, you can move molehills and if you can imagine it, then you can do it! These two expressions fit so well with Galia's story that we couldn't ignore them. Galia Boats shares even the font of its logo with its parent company, Galeon Yachts, from Gdansk. This port city in the Baltic region, the Danzig of the Germans, has a centuries-old tradition of shipbuilding.
The Polish state shipyards were located here, and here it was that the Polish revolution brought down the suffocating communist regime through the Solidarnosc trade union. Founded in 1982, under the Jaruzelski regime, who could have predicted that Galeon would specialise in the construction of motor yachts!
Galeon's short and dazzling history is a perfect illustration of the results of motivation (Polish people rejecting communism) and capital contribution. Tens of thousands of Polish people, determined to see their living conditions change, became entrepreneurs. Later, Poland's accession to the EU in 2004 brought a massive influx of development funds, which enabled the development and transformation of whole sections of the Polish economy. The history of Galeon and Galia, its dayboat brand, follows the course of Polish history!
Galia builds and sells a range of 15 outboard motor boats: Open, Bow-rider, Hard-to, Sun-deck and Cabin-cruiser. The lengths vary between 4.75 and 7.50 m. Assembled in the workshops of Galeon, which works on yachts ranging from 30 to 80', Galia dayboats draw on the expertise of their parent company with large yachts.
