SOLING 825

The Soling 825 is a robust 8.25-meter open keel boat designed by Norwegian Jan Linge in 1965. This boat was built in 1976. The polyester boat with aluminum spars is known for its durability and good sailing characteristics, ideal for all wind conditions at sea or on lakes and ponds. Fitness and teamwork are essential when sailing a Soling, with "droop-hiking" being a characteristic technique to keep the boat sailing flat. The cockpit needs some maintenance.

The boat was acquired around 2009 and has always sailed on the Vinkeveense Plassen, mainly for sporting purposes and pleasure cruising. The Soling is known for its speed and maneuverability on the water, culminating in the fact that it generally sails faster than other sailboats. Although the boat has some minor flaws, it was cleaned and serviced just last winter, with special attention to the cockpit polyester. The boat is not registered.
