The M/Y Ocean Saloon is built by Lürsen/Krüger Shipyard in Rendsburg, Germany. The Ocean Saloon can be sailed with Yachtskipper 3 and sails under the Danish flag and is entered in the Danish maritime register. Despite her size and weight of 86 tons, she can be easily maneuvered with the bow thruster and the 2 Cummings engines of 370HP each. Similarly large motorboats will usually have much greater engine power and therefore much greater fuel consumption than the Ocean Saloon. The Cummings engines are freshwater-cooled and in excellent condition and serviced according to regulations. The Ocean Saloon is built in mahogany and teak and is equivalent to a 170 m2 living space. Below deck there are 6 cabins with room for 12 people with 3 large bathrooms. A 4th bathroom is at deck level, with access from the outside.
