JEANNEAU SUN ODYSSEY 35

The Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35 is an easily handled cruiser with spacious accommodation. She is a solid, quick and responsive yacht that will appeal to all, whether for short-handed sailing or for family cruising.

This Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35 has a forward and an tow aft double berth cabin and has been very well maintained with a list of improvements been undertaken by the current owner. 

She benefits from Classic Mast, ,heating, electric windlass and Raymarine C80 Chartplotter and Radar . 

Construction

The Sun Odyssey 35, designed by Frenchman Marc Lombard and built by Jeanneau, is completely faithful to the Jeanneau spirit : a powerful hull, efficient deck and sailplans, safety and an interior in teak.

The development by engineers of the Sun Odyssey 35 was aided by the latest in Computer Aided Design and Manufacture (CAD/CAM) techniques.

Her construction using hand moulding and Prisma Process technology allows for perfect precision and high quality of materials in the lay-up of the hull and deck.

Forward cabin with V double berth, hanging locker, plenty of storage and overhead opening hatch with blind.

Door through to saloon with U shaped settee to starboard with extending dining table. This table can also be raised to provide better access when using the starboard settee as a berth. Bench settee to port can be used as single berth and the starboard settee can be converted in to a double by dropping the table. 

Opening deck hatches with blinds.

Chart table to port, at sea it slides forward over the settee to use for chart work, in harbour, it slides aft over the navigators seat allowing extra settee seating.

Heads to port, heads compartment has, GRP moulded sink, storage seperate shower and toilet compartment with door. Jabsco manual sea toilet with holding tank and three way value

L shaped galley to starboard with, Plastimo Neptune 2500 two burner gas stove with oven and grill fridge, double stainless steel sink, hot and cold water, Watco 12 volt  Fridge and plenty storage,

Port and starboard doors to aft double berth cabins, with storage.

Owner Comments and Service History

Puffin was chartered from 2003 to 2010. 

An American bought her in 2010 with the intension of spending long single handed sailing trips around the west of Scotland. From what we can gather, throughout his ownership he only launched her for one short spell during 2012 and the rest of the time she was stored ashore in Troon Marina.

We bought Puffin in March 2015, listed below is a summary of the work carried out during our ownership.

2015

Engine oil changed, oil filter renewed, primary and seconday fuel filters renewed, air filter and impeller replaced. 

Lower hull stripped and epoxy treatment professionally applied.

Upper hull stripped and polished. 

Saloon cushions recovered.

New spray hood and binnacle cover installed (Saturn Sails).

New battery charger fitted.

New shaft seal fitted (Volvo Penta).

New navigation lights fitted.New internal LED lights fitted.

Defective pumps replaced.

2016

Engine oil changed, oil filter renewed, primary and seconday fuel filters renewed, air filter and impeller replaced.  

Engine gauges in cockpit renewed.

Engine mountings renewed.

Raymarine Plotter serviced.

New 12 V fridge cooler unit fitted and wired (Waeco).

Flojet pump replaced.

2017

Engine oil changed, oil filter renewed, primary and seconday fuel filters renewed, air filter and impeller replaced.  

Diesel Tank removed cleaned and fuel system flushed. 

New heating system installed.

Survey carried out 6/6/2017.

Oil seal output from gearbox renewed (after survey carried out).

New starter motor fitted.

2018

Engine oil changed, oil filter renewed, primary and seconday fuel filters renewed, air filter and impeller replaced.
